PARADE SHOW FOR THREE HIP-HOP DANCERS AND A NEW ORLEANS INSPIRED BRASS BAND
A PARTICIPATORY SHOW FOR ALL AGES
In New Orleans, brass bands traditionally march to the beat of a frenzied and irresistible jazz, a blend of African, Caribbean and European influences. New Orleans, the birthplace of jazz, has mysteriously kept alive the spirit of the music and the call to dance. These parades are accompanied by dancers who stroll in front of the procession of musicians : the ‘First Line’, followed by an audience that strolls after the artists, dancing : the ‘Second Line’.
Inspired by this culture, the group Red Line Crossers is made up of a brass band and three hip-hop dancers. The show is a street performance in which musicians and dancers march along, inviting the audience to follow them !
